CoreLogic: Insurers facing estimated $8.7bn hit from 11-15 June SCS

The spate of severe thunderstorms that tore across parts of the US from 11 to 15 June will cost carriers an estimated $8.7bn according to CoreLogic, while Gallagher Re has estimated insured severe convective storm (SCS) losses in 2023 are already north of $25bn.
